Talent Leadership in Action (TLIA)

April 11, 2019
London, England

Talent Leadership in Action (TLIA) is a community of leaders from HR, Procurement, Operations, Finance and General Management who want to be inspired by the ‘art of the possible’ around the workforce management agenda.

Running once per quarter at the Shangri La at The Shard, TLIA brings together members to discuss hot topics related to talent management. This interactive half-day forum, which commences at 9:30 am and concludes with a networking lunch at 1:00 pm, is designed to welcome debate along with peer to peer networking.

#DitchTheScript: Become a force for change in contingent talent

Scarcity of talent, economic challenges, a rise in gig workers. This is not a new outlook, and these are not a new set of challenges. We know that you, as a member of our TLIA community have been discussing them for a while now. But one thing that is clear to us all, is a need to change the approach. To do something different. To ditch the script on traditional engagement models and lead the path in determining a more agile way to manage talent. At this TLIA event, our first to kick off the series for 2019, we will give you the opportunity to hear from people who have chosen to #DitchTheScript on contingent talent. People who have sought a value-driven approach over a transactional one. Who have been brave enough not only to consider breaking the mould, but to smash it. We will explore the cultural shift in how we want to go to work and how this is changing perspectives on contingent talent. Helping to bring this often-side-lined workforce in from the cold. Participants will leave with the insight to be a force for change and innovation when it comes to addressing talent strategy in their business.

Peter Reagan, Director of Contingent Workforce for Staffing Industry Analysts kicks off our event with an industry overview. Setting the scene, Peter will cover what’s new and what’s next in the world of the contingent workforce.

We will be joined by an exciting line up of talent leaders for our panel discussion, Peter Reagan, Staffing Industry Analysts, Benjamin Viney, Willis Towers Watson, and Neal Krisko, Independent who will each share their individual experience on how they’ve chosen to #DitchTheScript when it comes to the way they look at talent in their business. There will be plenty of time to pose your questions to our panel and to debate them with your peers during our interactive roundtable.

Finally, Nick Ghamgosar, KPMG People and Change will share his unique insight on why the old way of looking at strategic workforce planning is over. Stating a case for change on how businesses need to deploy enterprise wide workforce strategies, Nick aims to challenge views on traditional engagement models and introduce a fresh new way of thinking.

We are extremely excited to welcome you back to the Shangri La at The Shard for what promises to be a highly engaging and thought provoking TLIA. As always, seats are available on a first come, first served basis. Don’t delay, register to join us today.
